Last minute tips for Barcelona?
 

We're leaving this Tuesday for Barcelona and I'm very excited about our trip! I've printed tons of info from this site (restaurants, walks, sites, safety, etc.). I have my maps, money belt and enough euro to get me to an ATM in Spain (lol).
Does anyone have any last minute advice?

How much should I expect to pay for a taxi from the airport to the Hotel Regencia Colon? Thanks and I'll post a trip report upon my return.

I have no last minute advice. Just to say I envy you. It's a beautiful city. It will be very hot! Buy as many shoes as you can carry. Try all the tapas bar you see on a street - a bit here and a bit there. Drink alot of Cava (sparkling wine)and Sangria and eat as many crabs as you can...

This may sound like a stupid question but what is a tapas?

Scott, tapas are similar to appetizers or light snacks/meals. I've had fried calamari, cheese croquets, (baked?) potatoes. I'm sure there's hundreds of more as well!

Cab fare from the airport will be about 22 Euros, and extra for luggage. About a euro per bag

Thanks for the info on the cab, Danie. I've heard so many good things about Barcelona! We went to Madrid and Marbella last year and loved it. I love everything about Spain and I can't wait to get there!
