Last minute Munich Hotel recommendations

We decided to take a last minute trip to Munich (Dec 10-15). Looking for hotel suggestions in the Alstadt (old town) area of Munich. We've stayed at the Blauer Bock but they're full. Has anyone stayed at Hotel Eder or Hotel Atlanta? Hotel am Viktualienmarkt is booked for the weekend. We want to spend about 100 Euros/night with breakfast included. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Thank you
Cindy

I can recommend

Hotel Deutsches Theater Stadtmitte
Schwanthalerstrasse 15
80335 Muenchen

It should fit your price criteria

Its not exactly pristine, but we enjoyed staying there. A really good, strange restaurant at the corner (offering everything from tapas to middle eastern food)...and the restaurant in the Hotel was good too.

Try Hotel Schlicker, just around the corner from Viktualienmarkt and on Talstrasse, the road that leads down to Isar Tor.

We stayed at Hotel Eder last year during the Christmas markets. It was certainly nice enough but nothing spectacular or luxurious. The room was fairly basic but it was clean and quiet, the service was good, and the breakfast was above average by European standards. We spent most of our time outside of the hotel though - lots to see in Munich!

Overall, for the price and location, I was quite happy. Happy to answer any more specific questions.
