last minute hotel in Paris
 

SO we all want the perfect cute boutique hotel in Paris!! Packed and ready to go...arrive on Saturday..have researched and read..and get more confused..gotta get a room.have narrowed my choices to Le Senat, Hotel Recamier, Au Manor St Germain, and A La Villa Madame..any feedback.. My husband and I starting in the beautiful city of Paris to tour the country for a few weeks..Would appreciate the input..we enjoy the smaller quieter areas, easy walks, close to local eateries...help, please! Thank you!

Check out Hotel Des Grandes Ecoles. We absolutely loved it!

They aren't that far apart and are similar type hotels, so it doesn't really matter that much. YOu must know they are fairly close together when you picked them (didn't you look at a map? easy to do just by typing their name into Google, you get one), so being close to eateries is similar as well as easy walks.

Personally, although I like the style of the Manoir St German, and that hotel group, I would not want to be right on bd St Germain. I also would not want to be right next to St Sulpice church so would rule out the Recamier. I haven't stayed there but just think church bells could be a problem, just a guess, and I like quiet, maybe it doesn't matter to you.

I think the type of room you are getting could matter more as if you book the cheapest room, it could be very small. I know it is in the Recamier.

Not been to 'your' hotels.
In the 6th I can recommend Hotel Clément, hotel Mayet and hotel du Lys.

Using Google Maps/Earth is a good decision, but if you're concerned about the amenities the hotel provides, including room size, you should use the filters on booking.com or hotels.com, as well as check the official hotel websites.

Finally, I would suggest you go to TA or another website which provides Traveller's Photos - don't bother with the reviews, for obvious reasons. The photos will tell you all you need to know.
Most hotel rooms in Paris are small, because they now include nice bathrooms - there used to only be one bathroom down the hall, and per floor.

Figure out how much time you'll actually be spending in the room vs the price. If you want a really spacious room, you'll have to pony up big bucks and stay at what the French call "un palace".

Just a note about staying near St Sulpice Church. We stayed at the Esprit St Germain for a week and it is almost across the street from St Sulpice Church and the church bells never ever bothered us.
