Last Minute Budget Hotel or B&B Needed for London

Have two friends that will be making their first trip to London in a couple of weeks. He is currently working with children with aids in Kenya. His niece will meet him in London for a week's visit.
They desperately need an inexpensive place to stay. Two rooms with connecting bath or one room with twin beds would work. Their only request was clean and private bath. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What do you mean by "inexpensive"? w/o knowing their realistic budget it is hard to give useful suggestions . . . . .

I agree with janis that we need numbers for your budget. Here's a very inexpensive place I have stayed that's about 2 blocks from Victoria Station. It's not the Ritz, but worth what you pay for it.

I ask that same question. I don't think they realize how expensive London can be. I didn't think they could find much for under $200.00 a night.. PM, I gave them the Jubilee site. Researched this forum and found out about rooms at the Astor College of Medicine, as well as the school of Economics. They are checking these out, as well as several other places that were suggested on the forum.

Try Londontown.com for some less expensive options.

Stay at the Days Inn London Waterloo.

if you book online you should get it for around 60-65 pounds per night including taxes. The hotel is modern and the bathrooms were fine.

Look into the Arosfa, you can search on it here by name ( a previous posting on it was mine)
they now have a website.
They have small rooms, very small bathrooms. The place is clean and well-located. A year ago a twin room could be had for approximately 55 or 60 pounds. The rate includes a cooked breakfast.

I will be going to London with a friend of mine for 4 nights in the beginning of May and have reservations at the Edwards House Hotel in Victoria as well as at The Tavistock Hotel in Bloomsbury. I have stayed at the Tavistock before (61 GBP single, 81GPB a double) and it is OK, but Edwards House is cheaper and I would like to save for the trip to Paris. Has anybody stayed at, or otherwise knows anything about the Edwards House?
