Languedoc/Roussillon - Stu Dudley's Updated Itinerary

I have just completed updating my 33 page Languedoc/Roussillon itinerary, based on or recent 7 weeks worth of visits to this region.

If you would like a copy, e-mail me at [email protected] & I'll attach one to the reply e-mail. Specify that you want the Languedoc itinerary - I have others

Do not request one on this thread

I have seen some of your itineraries in the past and found them to be quite informative. Would it be out of line to suggest that you put them all together on a website or blog or as an e-book?

Actually, that's been discussed on a prior thread

Thanks, Stu! I look forward to reading this. I am always "planning" my next trip in my mind. Hopefully we will get back to this wonderful area of France.

Hi Stu
I am probably obtuse but I didn't understand why you don't post or make a blog.

In the link you provide people answer for you but you don't really.

Some people ( like me) will never send out their emails to unknown ones. And can't join the choir of people thanking you.

So I will never get your 33 pages of tips. Albeit for me 33 pages are no more tips but a guidebook.

Mvg.

I thought I provided an answer..... I enjoy getting the "feedback" by communicating via e-mail. Many people would not provide feedback on a blog, IMO. As I stated on the "other" thread, there are a LOT more lurkers than "full" participants on Fodors. There are probably many reasons for that - your guess would be as good as mine. People provide all kinds of info in their e-mails to me, that I suspect would not be provided at all via a blog or on a web site. They would just look at the blog, see/print what they wanted - and I would never know if they appreciated the info I provided.

Does Peter get feedback on his web site??
http://www.the-languedoc-page.com/

How about Russ Collins on his??
http://www.beyond.fr

I get 4-8 requests for itineraries every day. While I was in France last month for 30 days, I received 145 requests - and I was not even posting to Fodors while in France, & therefor did not "advertise" them.

Plus - I have no interest in maintaining a web site like Peter & Russ do.

I actually have a "fake" e-mail address that I really don't use - but I could. Try that route!!!

Your itineraries are great, Stu! A few years ago I used your Dordogne itinerary extensively on a two-week trip I took solo. I greatly appreciated you emailing it to me, and the wonderful tips you gave re routes to take, restaurants, sites not to miss, etc. I think we Fodorites are lucky to have you here and so willing to be helpful. Thanks!

Last year, I also extensively used the Dordogne itinerary. It was invaluable, and together with the Michelin GG, it was all we used.

I have the Provence itinerary for this fall, and it's chock full. Once again, Stu's guide and the GG will be our main source of info.

There are a few posters whose advice I count on, and Stu's at the top of the list. However he wishes to provide it, is just fine with me!
