Lamborghini museum
Hi. We are travelling to Bologna in July and would really like to visit the Lamborghini museum which is situated approx 33 km away between Modena and Bologna. Has anyone any advice as to how to get there? There do not appear to be any direct trains.

Try contacting the factory, they should be happy to help you.

The same goes for the Ferrari Museum. Take a train to Modena, and then take a bus 12km or so south to the factory. Note the museum is next to the factory. The bus will be at the main train station.
As you take the short train ride (about 30 min long) from Bologna to Modena, take a look out for the Maserati factory on the outskirts of Modena.
You will also find the best food in Italy in this region. The squash ravioli is to die for. There's also a wonderful salumeria in Modena. It was featured on a Mario Batali show.

Also near Bologna is the Ducati factory and museum. Reservation required.

How to reach the Lambo factory from Bologna:

Ferrari now offers limited tours of the test track and "to the factory" (not sure if that means inside but I think not), previously only available to Ferrari owners and prospective buyers. You can't get off the bus or take photos. Tour reservations required. No reservations required for the museum, but I probably wouldn't make the trek to Maranello without booking tickets in advance.
