I NEED INFORMATION ABOUT:
1.THE WEATHER AT LAKE GARDA IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS OF AUGUST? HUMIDITY?
2.VILLAS FOR RENT FOR A FEW FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN THE AREA?
3.IS THE AREA VERY CROWDED IN THAT PERIOUD OF THE YEAR?

Didnt stay in Lake Garda but visited the Lake on a day excursion. We were staying in Verona. We were there the last two weeks in August - it wasnt exhaustingly hot - just a nice temperature to walk around.
The area is busy but not overcrowded since there are so many towns around the Lake. Sirmione was the busiest. Sorry I cant help with accommodation.

Hi Mario, try this website www.gardalake.it It has very useful information about the area, including accommodation. There are so many little villages around the lake to choose from. Where were thinking of staying? We are staying in Bardalino in a hotel for a week in July. First time visit to Italy but my cousin has stayed in Bardalino often and recommended it. The Garda area will be a zoo in late August. It is very popular with Germans and August is vacation time. Weather should be good--it will be hard to find a rental this late. Good luck !

Went there in Aug. of '79. No Humidity. Beautiful weather. And my friend and I got food posioning really really bad!

Be sure to rent a speed boat.
