Lake Como to MXP
 

By car how long would it take to get from Lake Como to MXP? Are some of the towns easier/faster to get to than others on Lake Como? Thank you

all i can say is i took the airport bus Como to the airport and it took about an hour.

Thank you. I guess if a bus can make it in an hour we can drive it ourselves in approximately the same amount of time.

PalenQ's experience (about an hour) would apply if you are in the town of Como.

Travel times from the mid-lake area would be longer.

We're trying to decide where on Lake Como we could stay and not have to leave too early to get to MXP for a flights around 11 am. We'd like to stay in Bellagio. Mappy shows Bellagio to MXP as 87.6 km taking an hour and half. We would allow extra time, but does 1.5 hours seem realistic?

Stay in Menaggio on the west shore opposite Bellagio and not be dependent on a car ferry when you leave. Look at Grand Hotel Menaggio---right at the ferry dock.

Ferry? According to Mappy there are roads that go from Bellagio to MXP and no need to take the Ferry. Am I missing something?

YES,THERE ARE ROADS FROM BELLAGIO TO MXP.A CAR WITH A DRIVER DID THAT TRIP WITH 2 OF US, MID MORNING, IN ABOUT 1 HOUR AND A HALF.

BUT WE DID NOT HAVE A CAR TO DROP OFF AT THE AIRPORT.

I do not suggest that road. Take the west side road and the car ferry if you must.
