Bob,
Can't help with the ferry schedule although they ran very frequently when we were there in May a few years ago.
The weather was warm. We had to wear sweaters only once in the evening. In generel, I think the weather is always very moderate so a jacket is advised but plan on sunscreen too.
If you have never been to Como, you're in for a treat. It is still one of my favorite destinations.
We stayed at the Hotel Terminal right on the waterfront. It was absolutely beautiful.
Bellagio is spectacular.
Have fun.

Gestione Navigazzione Laghi used to have schedule info also in English. They apparently discontinued it (at least for the time being, maybe they put it up again with the summer schedules). Anyway, even if you find any English site, chances are that info is out of date. Your best bet is to surf
http://www.navigazionelaghi.it/
and to ask away if there's anything you don't understand:
battelli = boats (no cars)
corsa rapida = fast run (hydrofoils)
traghetto = ferry
festivo = sunday/holiday
feriale = weekday (including saturday)
giornaliero = daily
mappa = map (depicts the winter lines map; spring map should be available end of March)
Bob--My husband and I were in Bellagio last April--first week- and I remember it being 55-60F. Sometimes can be cool when on the lake. Take a light spring jacket. We stayed at the Hotel DuLac--right on the lake HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! If you need more info feel free to email me directly. Have Fun!!! Thanks, Laura
