<<< don't mind my "fanny pack" because I wear the bag in front >>>

Ah the thieves friend, all they have to do is release the clip & by the time you've noticed they are a hundred yards away

marginal_margiela Feb 27th, 2007 09:29 AM

OK, Maureen. I promise not to shoot Rosie. Instead, I'll just throw profiteroles at her. Is that better?

Rosie, if you come to Philly, I'll take you to lunch at Striped Bass if you check your bumbag at the door.

I do have a reputation to uphold.

My thinking is I don't like to use anything new on a trip, that I'm not familiar with. I think this potentially leads to mistakes being made. That's why I say pick something from what you already own.

MaureenB Feb 27th, 2007 10:47 AM

Marginal, much better! You could throw some profiteroles at me, if you want. And I'll see you for lunch at the Striped Bass.

Don't flame me...but I liked the fish at the Ritz much better than at Striped Bass...

milliebz Feb 27th, 2007 01:51 PM

Marginal, best laugh I have had all day!

cigalechanta Feb 27th, 2007 02:09 PM

And Marg., send me a few of those profiteroles if i don't get to the Striped bass.
AS Ever, your Carine. :)

cigalechanta Feb 27th, 2007 02:19 PM

Rosie, be careful with backpacks, I've seen some people get ripped off on trains underground and in bookshops.

alanRow, I thought you were going somewhere completely different with *that* opener.

emmalee_71 Feb 27th, 2007 06:56 PM

I would stick with your small back pack. In you are in a spokey area you can wear it on the front.
Fanny packs are a bit dated now :-)

beaupeep Feb 27th, 2007 07:43 PM

But keep in mind that Harrod's will not let you in with a backpack. The last time I was there, about 3 years ago, they had guards at the door turning people with backpacks away.

Versus Feb 27th, 2007 07:53 PM

I really don't see why you should stress about what type of bag to wear.
I've been to many places in the US, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America and except when in a beach destination, I wear the same bags I wear at home in Miami. I usually take one roomy bag for day use and one for the evening.

Today I bought a small-medium size shoulder bag which fits my purse, passports etc in it has a couple of zip compartments so i've made my decision and definitely NO BUMBAGS!!!\\\\Ive been ED u cated...I must tell my sister because she wants to use a bumbag in Greece.
