La Vieille Auberge, Aix-en-Provence
 
Whoops! Earlier, I posted about a restaurant in Paris; what I meant to say was that Vieille Auberge is in Aix-en-Provence. I've been trying all day to call and make a reservation, but have only gotten a fax machine. Does anyone know if this restaurant still exists, and if not, do you have any similar restaurants to recommend?

I nevr heard of that one but am always interested in what I'm not familiar with.
Anyway, The BEST restaurant in Aix is Clos De violette. I'll follow up looking for thir website.

Just returned from Aix and had two wonderful meals at a restaurant called Les Sarments in Puyloubier, a small charming town about 25 minutes by bus from Aix.
You can get the bus in front of the Tourist Bureau and it is a very scenic
ride with great views of Mont Ste. Victoire. There is also a winery in the town. The restaurant was recommended by someone who lives in Aix and we were happy that we took their advice.
