La Maison Royale B&B, Rome?

I am having a heck of a time finding a nice little hotel under 200EU for a double, and well-located within Rome's historic center. We're going in early May and things are booked up already. Anyone ever stay at this place? It does have availability and looks nice enough on romeby.com. It has breakfast in a rooftop restaurant, Les Etoiles, next door. And it's location is within city blocks of major sites.
Or any other suggestions?
(P.S. We were actually confirmed and reserved at Daphne Trevi. Until they got unpleasant when I told them in all honesty that I might have to drop the fourth night of our reservation-- being way too honest!. They had never even indicated they had a four night minimum, but all of the sudden they did, and they cancelled us, even though I had expressly told them not to, because we might still be four nights there. I'm pretty disappointed with them, and have told them so.)

Any B&B will probably charge you for all the originally booked nights, if you check out early. Apparently this is Italian law, or at least one of them says so on their web site, quoting the appropriate section number.

The location of La Maison Royale is not ideal, but still not too bad. I think it would be nicer to be located more centrally.

Have you tried this one-

I've stayed here and really liked it. It's a B&B, well located, and very nice rooms.

Thanks, y'all. I've now booked the Domus Julia in Rome, which looks great on the web and has very good tripadvisor.com reviews. The B&B you recommended, zoecat, does look very nice and it was about 50EU less per night, but already booked up.
Anyone stayed at the Domus Julia? On Via Rasella 32, it's a sister property to the Hotel Julia next door.
