La Fonte
 

Interested in a report from anyone that has stayed in La Fonte. We are looking to stay there the third week of May with another couple.

Perhaps a city/country would help to decode where this is..

La Fonte (http://www.lafonte.toscana.it)is in a rural area of the Crete Senese, near San Giovanni Asso. It looks like a great area, not far from Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano

I have never stayed at La Fonte, but I have stayed at Fonte Bertusi, just down the road. You will be staying in the most beautiful area of Tuscany (my opinion).

The views from the property are incredible, and you will be very central to visiting towns and villages in the area. I'll be staying at Fonte Bertusi the same week in May- a great time of year. I was there last year at the same time and the weather and landscape were perfect.

Relax and enjoy- it will be a vacation you will never forget!

Zoecat, since we have never been to Italy and it sounds like you have, which of the two places would you stay at....La Fonte or Fonte Bertusi ?? Both are starting to fill up !

I would stay at Fonte Bertusi over La Fonte. The landscaping of the grounds is nicer and the art and the people at Bertusi make it a very special place to stay.

That said, I think you would be very happy with either.
