La Fenice restoration complete yet?
 

I'm staying in Campo San Fantin, 100 yards from La Fenice. I'm wondering if anyone here kknows whether the restoration is complete yet. I was just concerned about construction noise during the day.

We were in Venice in early October and Fenice was still a shell as far as I could see. I hope I live to see it restored!

I did finally find a website which stated the Opera House would ready to open December 2003. Now I'm just hoping the construction noise won't be too great as I've already put 30% on the apartment.

<BR><BR>I've forgotten, what was the cause of the fire? Arson, or an accident?

Two electricians were convicted of negligence and given suspended prison sentences.<BR><BR>At this point, I'm figuring we'll be out and about all day long, so hopefully the noise won't effect us much!
