La Bourdonnais or Splendid Hotel
 

I have reservations at both of these hotels for the end of the year. The location is basically the same, and the rates are not that different. Does anyone have a preference? Suggestions? Advice? Thanks.

In Paris? Splendid sounds familiar - let me know the city and I'll pull out my memorabilia.

I have stayed twice at the Hotel Bourdonnais. I was there last month and it is a very nice homey little hotel. The staff that was there three years ago is still there. The rooms are rather small but are very nice. Our bathroom was very modern and it was very clean. The location is great. Very near the metro. I recommend it.

Rats - I guess the Splendid was an option I didn't exercise. However, there is a thread here - don't know how old or new, about Splendid Etoile. Do a search to find it.

Shanna - I think there are two Splendids - one is the Etoile and the other is just Splendid near the Ecole Militaire metro stop. We're going with La Boudonnais since it was our first choice. Thanks for your help.
