Kudos to the British Authorities
I'm sure we are all shocked by today's news, but I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the authorities who foiled this plot. This would have been such an awful day if this plan had succeeded. Many thanks to those involved for saving countless lives. Well done!!

I completely agree. Great job!

I understand and agree with you, P-M however, I do not give them any "kudos" for allowing what apparently are inadequate/inconsistent security screening measures to continue and then these suddenly have to be abrogated when a plot is (finally) "discovered."

What if this plot had not been "discovered?" Would the current supposedly excellent screening efforts have foiled it?

Agreed P_M! It is also very encouraging to hear that Pakistan provided vital intelligence that helped to capture these nuts.
