Great blog. We are headed to Prague and Budapest on October and have much enjoyed your information.

Quick question regarding foods. Neither DH or myself are meat/poultry eaters. Were there seafood/vegetarian options that you may have noticed? THanks. Lynnie

Kristina,
Just to let you know that I've followed your blog in its entirety. So enjoyed reading your postings while you were away and looked forward to your updates when you returned. Great descriptions and pictures. Your shot of the Fred and Ginger was great! Thanks for sharing with us!

Lynne-
Thanks!
Yes, you'll be able to find vegetarian and seafood options but you may have to hunt a bit. You should have no problem finding vegetarian soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas. It's the "main" course selections that might be a challenge, but there's usually some fish on most menus.

We didn't eat any seafood because I work for a restaurant company that specializes in seafood and I can't bring myself to eat it in a place that so far from the sea.

That said, Kogo, the Italian restaurant in Prague, had an absolutely beautiful display of fresh seafood on ice at the front.
If you look at the lunch we had at the Cafe Lobkowicz at the Prague castle, it was totally vegetarian and very tasty. In Budapest, I was craving a plain green salad and was able to get one even though it wasn't on the menu at Carne de Hall. I'd recommend all three restaurants. Oh, my mom's Monkfish dish at the Four Season's hotel cafe was also really good.

In Budapest, check out the great market hall where you can buy lots of fresh fruits and vegetables for snacks.
Have a great trip!

Lucy-Thanks, I wish I'd had time to get some other shots of the Fred and Ginger building from across the street, but I was in too much of a rush to find a restroom! By the time we found one, it was too far to go back.
