Krakow to Warsaw by train/Warsaw airport
 

Can anyone tell me how long the train ride is from Krakow to Warsaw and if it is easy to do?
Need to get up to Warsaw in the late morning (from Krakow) for a early afternoon, international flight.
Also, how is Warsaw's airport? Thanks!

They have a lot of express trains that take about 1:45 min, you could probably leave Krakow at 8 or 9 on one of those. Other IC trains take about 2:40.

I have not taken a train between those two cities, only to Krakow, so don't know what it's like personally, but I don't know of any reason it wouldn't be easy to do. Also, I have never flown out of Warsaw.

The train ride takes about 2 1/2 hours from Krakow to Warsaw. Looks like there are trains every hour in the morning starting at 6am.

I haven't been to the airport, sorry.

Give yourself enough time to get from the station to the airport (I would guess around 20-30 minutes). The airport in Warsaw is of moderate size and easy to navigate.

We flew into the Warsaw Airport. It is not large, easy to navigate and wasn't very crowded when we arrived. A couple of days later, we took a train from Warsaw to Krakow. It was about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, on time, very clean and comfortable. There were no train changes. Also, the Krakow and Warsaw train stations are not very large and easy to navigate.

Krakow train arrives at Warszawa Centralia..be sure you get that station. Inquire for AirPorter bus. The stop is on the Marriott Hotel side of the station. 30 minutes (?) to Okecie/Chopin Airport. Traveller friendly. Find free baggage cart. Use elevator. Check times, etc. Find airline station. They open late and close early. Good Duty Free. Thanks for coming!
