Krakow hotels

I have been looking for a hotel in Krakow. I saw that the Atrium hotel was recommended. Does anyone have a fax number or e-mail address for the hotel? <BR> <BR>We are also looking at the Orient. Has anyone been there or know anything about it? <BR> <BR>12 days till we leave. <BR> <BR>

We stayed at the Dom Turisty on the edge of the old town and liked it. It's a big, unpersonable place but it's in a good location and the room was nice.

Dom Turysty rack rate for double room is 330,-PLN (polish zlotys, 75$ US) until 31.10 and 220,-PLN (50$ US) from November. <BR> <BR>If you are going to stay for couple of days in Krakow consider serviced apartments. You will save up to 50% of hotel price. See www.sodispar.home.pl <BR>It is where Art and Linda stayed while in Krakow (See Trip Report and previous messages). <BR> <BR>Best regards, <BR>Jerzy Jamski <BR>

Atrium Hotel web page:http://www.hotelatrium.com.pl/england/index.html <BR>same distance from old city center as Dom Turysty... <BR>Orient http://www.hotel-orient.krakow.pl/gbindex.htm <BR>is really out of the way. Your first choice is much better although not so great. Saski maybe a good option for something with bit more style but similar price and better location to Dom Turysty. If you are set on hotels check : <BR>www.polhotels.com <BR>www.hotelsinpoland.com <BR>www.hotelspoland.com <BR>for some descriptions, but as Jerzy mentioned you maybe getting a much better deal with serviced apartments. <BR>Greetings! <BR> <BR>Jerzy: swietna reklama! Pozdrawiam z Nowego Jorku! <BR> <BR>

We stayed at the Saski about 3 years ago and loved the location!Near the square and restaurants. WE walked to the castle. We had a nicely furnished room with small sitting room

Definitly can not beat Saski Hotel location - which is located IN old city and right next to old square. This is a 2 star old hotel - which has rooms with bathrooms or without - so make sure you get what you want. Also check prices on their appartments, which are usually 2 rooms. Still I would check with with serviced apartments mentioned by Jerzy, and compare prices. As for restaurants there are so many around and in Old Town, From Traditional Polish or Russian to Mexican and Indian not to mention Tai or chinese or fastfoods like pizza, McD etc.
