Korcula Accomodations
 

Seems like Korcula hotels are not terribly nice -- any recommendations on a private apartment or pension? We'll only be there one night in late May. Many thanks! Liza

In Rick Steve's Eastern Europe book, he has a private apartment listed for Korcula (just one as I remember). We called her two days before arrival and she was full, but she gave us her next door neighbor's number; Dora also rented rooms.

It shows both Dora's house (plain cinderblock type house) and the pretty yellow one next to it was the one in Rick Steve's. You can actually see these houses from the port by the tourist information office.

This was standing across the street from our place looking down the street towards the monestary.

We stayed here http://www.apartment-korcula.com/kor...onuda/leut.htm For 2 nights last May. It was $50.00 (USD) a night. Nice location in the old town center and they washed our clothes (no extra charge). Loved Croatia !!!
