Know of any Farm Houses in Tuscany?

4 adults are traveling to Tuscany in October (for 4 nights) and we would love to experiance the local people. Have you been/stayed at a Farm house? We are open to locations. Thanks!!

hi, leslieann,

there are lots of "agrotourismo" farms in Tuscany - try looking on slow travel, searching this forum, or googling!

We've stayed in at the Salvadonica www.salvadonica.com about 20 minutes from Florence and the San Sano www.sansanohotel.it in Gaiole in Chianti (near Siena). Both had were historic & charming, had pools and were located in the beautiful countryside surrounded by vineyards. I would recommend either. Check out Karen Brown's books on Italy for other locations. If you are into the bidding thing, www.luxurylink.com periodically has farmhouse stays at great prices. I was just on the site and there's one for four people for a week near Tavernelle. I've had good experience with the website.
