klm lately?

Boring question but... we're flying klm from NY to Amsterdam. I've read some negative posts about the airline. Any opinions, pro or con?

Hey Hazelnut,

I just flew KLM from AMS to SFO (earlier this week). Service was good and there was adequate food and water. Only thing I didn't like was that the plane didn't have individual tv screens and they didn't start playing the movies until maybe 1 1/2 - 2 hours into the flight.

Good to hear something positive about KLM. Lately all I've seen are negative comments posted elsewhere, but all airlines have both good and bad aspects about them.

There's nothing wrong with the airline, but beware the Schipol Triangle!!

Check which flight you're on and what equipment they use. Currently, the Newark flight is on their new Airbus 330. The early JFK is a relatively new 777. The late JFK is an old 747.

The 747 has no personal video screen, the 330 and the 777 do and are nicer.
