Kitchens in Sicily Accomodations
Good afternoon. I am planning a trip to Sicily and would like to stay in four places during two weeks. I am looking for accomodations that have kitchens to cook in, as well as two (or more) bedrooms. We are looking for places 1)near Trapani 2) the interior 3)near Syracusa and the fourth is open. We will be spending time in Palermo prior the start of the two weeks. I will appreciate any ideas or suggestions. Thank you.

I highly recommend Verdetecnica in Sciacca. It's not exactly in the areas that you mentioned, but a long day trip to the Trapani area is possible if you don't get lost. It's very easy from Sciacca to get to Selinunte and Agrigento if those are places you plan on going to.
http://www.verdetecnica.com/ It's a great deal, and the accomodations are very rustic. The owners are very nice, and the grounds are very lush and full of flowers. |
By the way, Charlie 31134?? posted about a place in Palermo that sounds great:

Write to the tourist office in Trapani and Siracusa. They will furnish you with a list of short-term apartment rentals, or telephone numbers of rental agencies.

You didn't say when you are traveling. My wife and I will be staying at a small villa in Selinunte in July. It has a kitchen and two bedrooms (and a pool.) I have only seen it on the internet, but it looks lovely. If you contact me after August 1st, I'll give you the lowdown.

Thank you for the helpful suggestions. We will be traveling in the third week of September and into October.

In Palermo we stayed at Ai Cartari B&B We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived. My wife and I had a large, beautiful suite of 2 rooms that would cost $350 to $500 in a hotel -- yet it cost us only 90 Euros. The kitchen and the bathroom are large and modern. The location is perfect, in the heart of the historical center off the lovely Piazza San Francesco, within walking distance to all the major sights. This home is 600 years old and lovingly renovated -- a sanctuary from the noise and bustle of the streets. The owners are Rosi Loria and her husband. Rosi is a very gracious woman who helped make our stay memorable. There are only two suites/rooms, which can be viewed at http://www.aicartari.com
