I weent to Blarney Castle. Had to see it!
The line was sooo long, and it moved like the one in the DMV Office.

I did an "ugly American" and went up the "down" stone steps. Got to the top and took a picture of the stone. But I did not Kiss it!

Yes we both did and so what? We have also taken a gondola ride in Venice, gone to the top of the Eiffel Tower, done the evening boat ride down the Seine in Paris, took pictures of each other "holding up" the leaning tower of Pisa, climbed the various towers around Europe (Venice, Bruge, etc.), gawked at David and stood in line to see the Mona Lisa, ridden the touristy cruise boats on the Rhine, swam in cenotes in Mexico, walked the hanging bridges in Costa Rica, took a helicopter ride in Hawaii, and many other such things. We are tourists, it is our money, and we do what we enjoy. What make a big deal out of it?

I'm with Reisender. You're a tourist, how could you not.

I did as well. Not a particularly flattering kodak moment though I have to say.

Been there done that too! I was there off season and there was no line. There were two men working the stone - one to hold kisser's legs so they don't fall through and the other to take pix.

(and no syphilis for me either)

Hi Bird, [as we say in Cornwall]

DS kissed the BS when he was about 9. He's barely stoped talking to draw breathe since - but then he was like that before he kissed it.

no idea who he gets it from.

regards, ann

Yep, I did it, too - and I swear it tried to slip me some tongue.

My DH did; I was rather unwieldy at the time (about 6 months pregnant) and opted not to try to bend over backwards. I can only imagine the picture that would have resulted!
