Keukenhof Tulip Park in Lisse worth the visit in late May?

My family and I are going to be in Amsterdam for 4 days. We were thinking of going to the flower auction near Amsterdam, then realized we MIGHT be able to see tulips blooming in the fields. I need advice about whether or not enough tulips will be in bloom around May 25. Also is it worth going to Keukenhof Tulip Park in Lisse to try to see tulips?

"KEUKENHOF IS OPEN DAILY FROM MARCH 21, 2013 UNTIL MAY 20, 2013"
From the official website

I have been there on the last open day and the fields I saw had been cleared to bare dirt. BTW, the park was wonderful anyway and still had many tulip exhibits.

If you're going to try, go to Haarlem, take tne N208 to the N206 south until the turn for the Keukenhof.

If the tulips are still in the fields, they're beautiful.

The Keukenhof is worth going to even if they aren't in the fields.
You're on the edge of the Keukenhof, but never go on a weekend day; too many tourists.
