I visited three years ago and Keukenhof was just gorgeous. I loved it and the Netherlands as a country. Hope I can return!

Shame. There are people in the lounge who will enjoy this but never visit the Europe forum. Thats why I posted it twice.
Ah well you know best.

AFAIK when they move a thread, there is a 'pointer' so anyone in the Lounge can get to your thread here with one click.

Yep . . . I just went to the Lounge and clicked on the link and it brought me here.

Here are some pics from my visit last year on 18 April. Very fortunate, was on the first bus out of Leiden so had very few people for the first 45 minutes of my visit. It is a beautiful place.

Stunning, the tour buses had yet to arrive.

View from the windmill

People from all over the world, some of the clothing perfectly complimented the flowers. Nice to see so many happy people.

2019's theme was peace.

I've been wanting to go for several years, but next year is the year!! Is the first week of June too late for most the flowers?

Yes. It will be closed by then for the season.

Late April last year was almost too late for the surrounding tulip fields.

Well, I do love tulips; I've just ordered some bouquets from the local flowershop, for delivery to some loved ones. Flowershop is still taking orders online.
I haven't been to Keukenhof in years though - something for next year.

We've got tulips in the house right now: trying to support our corner-flowershop.

I love that video! Thanks!
Amazing that no one will be able to see the gardens this year.

I've been lucky enough to go twice - once with our kids about 20 years ago, and more recently when we took my mum as a special 80th birthday present. It was different both times, but still great. I'd love to go again.
