Kensington Hotel

Flying in and out of Heathrow for our first london trip, we intend to stay in the Kensington area. Hope the location is ok considering that we intend to take a day trip to Paris. Any recommendations for hotel, double room less than GBP 100 in this area inclusive of all taxes, please?

Kensington is a fine neighborhood. Good tube connections, some attractions in the area, good restaurants and bars, and a very nice neighborhood for a nightly stroll.

We stayed at the Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel which was very recommendable. Its usual rate is 120 GBP, but maybe you can get a bargain rate.

We stayed at the Park International on Cromwell Road, a couple of blocks from the Gloucester Road tube stop, last fall. It is made up of some townhouses put together and was quite satisfactory.

We got it through Priceline, but I just checked their website rates for mid-June and they list £62 a night for a double. Breakfast is included.

We always stay at the Jury's Inn. Wonderful location and sitting at the bar on this wonderful street is so fun and relaxing. We walk to Harrod's, which I love to do. I am sorry I do know the price.

How long are you there? I just rented a studio flat in Kensington for 1 week for 626 pounds for the week--so less than 100 pounds per night, with the added advantage of a kitchen and washer/dryer--that is in late July. Search on this forum for options for apartments in London. I haven't been there yet, but there were pictures, the agents were very nice and it seems like a really good option.

I meant to say, I do not know the price, a missed word on here can sound so rude. Sorry
