Kemble Cirencester Taxi

Can anyone recommend a taxi from Kemble Station to Cirencester? I do see Cirencester Taxi 01285 640154 (landline) online but wonder if it is reputable as I have no experience with them.
Thank you.

Do you have a hotel booking? If so, ask the hotel for recommendations. Or check at the station when you arrive- there may be taxis waiting for customers.

Why would you think Cirencester Taxi might be unreliable? Any taxi company would be about the same.

Kemble is just a small village. I assume you are arriving by train and want to get directly to Cirencester and aren't staying at a hotel in Kemble - right?. This isn't a metropolitan area w/ taxis driving around to be hailed or waiting at the station.

Hopefully julia_t will see your thread, maybe she'll have more specific recommendations.

If you're travelling from London to the middle of Cirencester, it's usually both cheaper and quicker - and less congested - to get the bus (www.nationalexpress.co.uk) direct to Cirencester.

If you're travelling to somewhere in the postal town of Cirencester, but 15 miles from the town centre, you'll probably be still better off bussing to Cirencester than training to Kemble.

Check at transportdirect.info, using the postcode of your final destination.
