Kayak in Flam or take the Fjord Cruise to Gudvangen
 

We like to keep active and adventurous rather than always being on a "sight seeing cruise" and I'm wondering if we rent kayaks in Flam and kayak in the Fjord, will we get far enough to see some of the highlights that we would see if we took the Flam to Gudvangen Fjord cruise. We would only want to kayak for a couple of hours, not all day so we wouldn't really get very far.

The ferry trip from Flam to Gudvangen along the Naerofjord is exceptionally beautiful. I wouldn't miss it.

One hour there, one hour back. If you don't know how far you paddle in an hour then you don't have much experience and won't get very far, hardly to Aurland even, and nowhere near Nærøyfjord. Take a day and do both.
