Katrina Anniversary: W in N'Orlens Remembers...
Saw W taking the podium in New Orleans yesterday or day before on the news saying all the right stuff.
I wonder if he also remembers when the storm first hit-
let's see he was on vacation not far away at his Texas ranch and could not be bothered for the first days of the calamity.
then we hew choppered over the devasation days later he was heard to remark something like "Man did we have some fun down there when i was young"
This was typical of his callous approach - people drowning below and his thoughts turned to how he partied there years ago - during his (alleged) cocaine and (documented) booze days.
And the empathy of the Bush clan didn't stop at W's thoughtless remark - mummy Barbara of course, refering to refugees forced to flea to Houston's Astrodome, "of course they're better off there than they were here"
I would trace W's calamitous drop in the polls to he cavalier Katrina response as much as the Iraq fiasco - it finally made the W administration seem to general public an inept as many had previously seen it - from the reckless ill-planned and perhaps illegal Iraq War.
Mr. President - Welcome to N'Orlens and think of all those good times you once had here and probably wish you could relive now.
