Katkies Hotel
 

We had a very bad experience May 18-27, 2008 at Hotel Katikies in Santorini. We received hundreds of insect bites which we are certain came from sleeping on the mattress in the suite. A doctor called in by the hotel confirmed our problems was insect bites and that they were fresh bites. We believe these were flea bits. Has anyone else experienced this problem at Katikies?

Yikes! Are you sure the bites were from fleas and not bedbugs?

Katikies is a really upscale, luxury property charging rather breath-taking rates. What did management do to compensate for this?

Do they accept dogs in the hotel? I never book rooms in dog friendly hotels.

Katikies Hotel in Santorini has refunded E 6990 to my credit card, the hotel costs of our entire stay. We believe Katikies Hotel has acted in good faith and it should be noted that we are very satisfied with this outcome. Both my husband and I acknowledge that the refund of the whole amount of our stay in Katikies Hotel is by no means to be construed or considered as an admission of liability on the part of Katikies Hotel for any reason. We also declare that we are completely and fully satisfied and shall arise no further demands from Katikies Hotel in the future.

OMG, E6990 for a 9 day stay and the joint's got bugs?! The fact they "cheerfully" refunded the lot says it all. The place sounds like a dive - avoid!
