KARLSTEJN CASTLE en route to KARLOVY VARY?
just wondering whether it was possible/recommended to visit karlstejn castle with the train from prague and then head to karlovy vary where we're considering spending the night. any thoughts?

Can't hep you with Karlstejn Castle altho it gets great reviews. Took the bus from Prague to KV. Re Kharolovy Vary, it was an absolute shock to my system. Magnificient buildings, apartments, spas, and restaurants. It is almost surreal that this place exists in what, [today] is a very poor country.

It's possible, but you'd really be going out of your way which is why it's not usually recommended you take the train to Karlovy Vary. You can get there a lot quicker and directly by bus. If you don't mind spending the extra two hours or so, I guess you could, and that might make sense if you were planning to go to Karlstejn anyway.
