Kambly cookie factory: a real treat in delightful Emmental
 

While on a drive through the delightful area of Emmental, whose large houses with low roofs make it a fairy-tale destination, we stopped in Kambly, Switzerland's most famous cookie and biscuit factory.

They've recently built a building dedicated to its customers. There's a cafeteria, a cookie making demonstration, and, best of all, wait for it......

lots and lots of samples of their large cookie and biscuit assortment to try.

We walked through the aisles of their shop where tins of their wares were set out for anyone to try. I eventually bought their rosemary apero biscuits, their linzertorte cookies and their most famous product, the brezels.

So if you're ever near Trübschachen, don't forget to reserve an hour for Kambly.
