K WEST London

Thinking about booking this hotel. Have you stayed there? Worth recommending?

I will be there on Thursday of this week - will let you know. If you do a search you will find someone who liked it a lot - but, said it was off the beaten path and the staff was not very helpful - so, do your own homework.

For what it's worth, we considered this hotel (the pictures look nice) but decided against it because I've read several reviews that the location isn't very convenient.

We stayed at the K-West in September of this year and we really liked the physical room itself alot, especially for the $99/night U.S. we paid for it. Very large, nicely appointed, great bathroom, sitting area, and more. Not cramped at all, which was very nice. It is off the beaten track, by the Shepherd's Bush tube stop, so you will be on the tube a bit more than if you stayed in the main tourist area. We have been to London before and enjoyed being in a neighborhood off the beaten path. Good restaurants, wonderful wine bar in the area. True, we were a bit further out, but we saved a HUGE amount of money compared to our other hotel we had previously booked (we were there for over a week). Can't aomment on the staff as we really never approached them for anything. Have fun!

I was in London twice for business in October. I chose KWest both times. I love this hotel. It is near recording studios, so the clientele are always interesting. It has a great day spa and gym, and the rooms aren't cramped nor are the frilly Victorian, which wears on me.

It is marginally inconvenient in location, but it is also one block from a major tube line. I don't think it can be beat for the price, and I will stay there every opportunity I have.

Last year, I got a similar price ($140) at the SAS Radisson at Portman Square, which is much more conveniently located. But, alas, I was not able to find the same price this year.
