Hello everyone,
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for all the wonderful advice you have provided to me, knowingly and unknowingly, as I prepared for my first trip to Europe. I am taking off on Thurs for London, Paris and Rome (a fabulous birthday gift to myself, I must say!), and I can truly say that the advice I have gotten here has been amazingly helpful. Much of it I gleaned without even posting in my initial months of "lurking" thanks to extensive use of the search function. So, you may have helped me and not even known it!
Anyway, i'm looking forward to a wonderful trip and the opportunity to see so many of the things I've been reading about for months. Thanks again for sharing your experiences.

Safe journey Ewt, and happiest of birthdays!
My favorite days in Rome were the rainy ones, simply magical, and got some great pictures, especially by the Spanish steps!
