just returned from Dublin
My sister and I had an amazing time in Dublin. We did a tour to County Wicklow with Day tours unplugged, highly suggest you go with this tour company. They were excellent, found them online.
Stayed part of the trip at The Westin College Green. Beautiful and great location. Won this hotel on priceline for $145, it goes for $200-300. Spent a few extra bucks and stayed at the Clarence the last 3 nights, worth every penny. The Clarence is the hotel owned by Bono and the Edge. Great low priced meals in Temple Bar, Botticellis and The Elephant and the Castle. Botticellis had great Italian food. We ate just about every meal at The Elephant and the Castle. Best Omlette in the world and Grilled Chicken Salad.
Shopping-Grafton Street! Beauty products- Brown and Thomas on Grafton. We had drinks at the Clarence and at the Morrison. Late night we went to Lilies, had a blast. On the return we flew Virgin Atlantic, best airline that I have ever flown. Everyone in Dublin was so nice. The cab drivers were great. Also the Dublin city tour which you get off and on all day for just $10 was great. We picked it up right in front of the main entrance of Trinity College, by Grafton street. We couldn't get skin milk for our coffee anywhere, so I suggest if you only use skim to bring the powdered stuff. If you have time to do London the flight over was short, I wish I added London.
If you have any questions you can email me.
On the weekend across from the Westin or along the fence of St Stephens Green they have wonderful artist selling their work, check it out.
