Just checking! Has anyone used Lets Paris vacation rental agency?
We are finalizing our plans with this agency for our trip in July and I just want to make sure they are not "yourstay.com"ish. Any input is so appreciated.
The apartment website is http://www.letsparis.com/rochefoucauld.html

Although we have not stayed with LetsParis we did view one of their apartments and Lauren the manager was delightful. She was prompt in meeting with us for our viewing and very helpful with answers to any concerns we had. We hope to rent from them in 2006 but haven't finalized our dates. Have no idea what you mean by are they "yourstay. com"ish.

Thanks for your reply. Lauren does indeed seem delightful. It's good to have added assurance.
Yourstay.com is a rental agency with many reports of fraud and many compaints against it. It even spawned a notyourstay.com website (http://notyourstay.0catch.com/). A search on Fodors forums will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Also check it out: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff142369.htm

Not sure if this is appropriate or if this would be somehow considered advertising, but I can certainly vouch for Lauren as she is our property manager. We own one of the apartments on www.letsparis.com -- but not the one you are looking to rent.
Having worked with Lauren for the last year and a half, I can tell you that she is very helpful and competent, and our guests have loved her. One young couple referred to her as "their Paris mom" even though Lauren is probably younger than they are! She seems to have a knack at putting people at ease and helping them with all the little details.
I can also tell you that on the rare occasion that people had something break while they were staying in our apartment (the coffee maker carafe, the phone cord) she has kept me updated and was quick to replace these items during the tennant's stay.
She also lives in the neighborhood, so she isn't far from any of her rentals in case of emergency. And her primary phone is a cell phone.
All the owners she works with are independent and set their own rates and rules, so I can't speak to that apartment specifically. I do know that Lauren won't take on properties that don't meet her standards. (Lumpy beds, water heaters that are toos small to heat the average shower, etc.)
I hope this is helpful and am happy to answer anything else.
