Did you buy a book of maps for directions between cities? If so, what book?

We used the Michelin Greece (#737) map.

Thanks for the great information. We're going to be in Greece in early August and are planning to drive from Ioannina to the Meteora area and back. Would you think that this could be accomplished in 2 days, or better in 3 (e.g. Ioannina-Meteora day 1, Meteora area day 2, Drive back day 3)?
Did you venture into the Vikos Gorge area at all?

re Maps:

The Michelin 737 (1:700,000 scale)is good for overall trip planning, however when I arrived in Greece I discovered the "Road Editions" maps.

"Road Editions" are about 1:250,000 scale and contain MUCH more useful and up-to-date detail, for driving.

Additionally the map's backside has maps of selected city-centers that are otherwise hard to come by.

There are several maps in the series, each covering a region of Greece. "Road Editions" are greek-published, but are multilingual.

Several posts mention Lousios River, Stemnitsa, etc.

There is a fabulous booklet and trail map "Walkers Map of Lousios Valley", published by ETBA Cultural Foundation.

All the trails and monasteries are well-covered. Indispensable if any trekking is planned.

The Lousios Valley map sells for a few Euros at the Dimitsena Outdoor Water Power Museum.
