London - 2 days Chesterfield in Mayfair, saw Mama Mia - GREAT dinner at 2 great restaurants Langans and Greenhouse
Rome - 2 days at the Dei Borgognoni, fine hotel, found nothing superior in the way of restaurants. English language live tour of the Colluseum was well worth the $15.
Positano - 1 night at the Poseidon, hated the small poorly appointed room, and moved to the Covo for 2 nights. Covo is a solid hotel. Drove the coast to Ravello, beautiful!
Capri - 2 days at the Ceasar Augustus, highly recommend the hotel, great views, great location, great rooms, lousy breakfast.
Naples - 1 night at the Miramare - YUCK and that goes for the hotel and the city!
Hope this helps!!

Ditto on Hotel Miramare. It was not what I expected. However, I absolutely fell in love with Naples.
If you are looking for quaint and quiet, you won't find it here but the people, the sounds and the tempo are all so different from the other Italian cities that you either love the difference or are put off by it.
It's hard to predict. If you appreciate the passion that Italians have for certain things, you will appreciate the way they express that passion in Naples. It's a rugged city with rugged personality. I personally can't wait to go back.
