Penny,
The Gatwick Express goes directly from the airport into Victoria Station, there are no stops at Kings Cross.
You can take a taxi from Victoria to your Bloomsbury hotel/B&B, about a £15 ride.
Penny, I hit the send button before I was finished with my message! LOL
If you are not sure about what visitor's pass will be the best one for you, you may want to consider just buying Tube tickets on a per trip basis ( trips within Zone 1 are £1 and you can also get books of ten, called a Carnet, for a slight discount. Also, London is a very walkable town. *S*

Penny,

You can also take the Airbus at least to Euston, which is not far at all from Bloomsbury. It's cheaper than the Gatwick Express, but a good bit slower. But your taxi ride would also be a lot cheaper.

Ignore that - too late to stop myself from hitting send! Airbus doesn't go from Gatwick, it goes from Heathrow. I haven't had my first cup of coffee for the day. Sorry for any confusion.

As Ben Haines pointed out, the Thameslink train goes from Gatwick to King's Cross, I believe. Then cab from there.

Nice to be quoted, but the escalator at Kings Cross Thaameslink station is out of order till late May, so I cannot now recommend that route from Gatwick. Going up the stairs there with luggage is a pest. I shall post to this forum when the escalator is back to work.

The weather these days is spiffing

"spiffing" is a good thing, right Ben? ;^)

Martha when you are writing about Bristish money please use the word POUND and not lb (very lazy of you). You could also use the term GBP. A lb is what something weighs not what it costs.
