Just back from Italy

2 questions re: cuisine. While I was very adventurous this time I did see two items I was too embarrassed to ask about. 1 What is "rocket salad"? 2 I also saw "Fish in Crazy Water" ....any ideas?. Love the cuttlefish in black ink in Venice. Yum, yum

Definition of Rocket...........<BR>Also known as arugula. This green salad vegetable is popular in Mediterranean countries. The leaves have a slightly bitter, peppery flavour and should be gathered when young. Rocket is a rich source of iron as well as vitamins A and C. <BR>

YUMMM love arugala, best with just some fresh tomatoes and mozzerella and a little oil and vinegar.

Ah, yes, fish in crazy water--delicious. Check out this website: http://www.divinacucina.com/code/friends.html

Thanks, I wasn't in the mood for salads (other than caprese) I do enjoy arugula, tho. I'll save fish in crazy water (evidently not the East River) for next time.

Can anybody describe what the ink tastes like in the cuttlefish dish? I've never had the courage to try that, but it seems everyone likes it.

Speaking of strange names for food - I recently had a fish dish and was told it was called &quot;uomini nudi&quot; (nude men). Were they pulling my leg? : )
