Hi Larz. How much was the hotel in Athens. I googled it and found a website for it but they have no prices listed.

1. CHAT tours to Mycenae and Epidaurus was good. I can't say "excellent" because I really don't like tours, but after a bit of research (e.g., taking several buses vs. renting a car...)- it seemed like the guided tour would be the most convenient, and direct way to see the sites. And it was. Pick up was in front of a hotel in Athens, and we headed to the Corinth Canal for a photo stop, bathroom break and snacks. Then onto Mycenae for about 90 minutes or so. Then back in the bus and onto Nafplion. We stayed at the Amalia Nafplion Hotel, which was rather fancy, but a few miles from Nafplion. We explored the city on our own during the rest of the day. Next day, around 2pm, the bus picked us up for the trip to the Theatre at Epidaurus. Spent about 60 minutes there. Then headed back to Athens. The tour guides were informative and pleasant enough, but we would have preferred to have more time to soak in the history(over 3000 years of it at Mycenae!), and not feel so rushed. The good thing about the hotel being where it was, was that it was only a 20-minute walk to yet another ancient city - Tyrins - that was somewhat better preserved than Mycenae.
2. I believe we paid around 87 Euros/night for the Acropolis House Hotel in Athens, which included a small breakfast. If you stayed for 3 nights or more, the price was &9 Euros/night.
