Jury's Inn Edinburgh for 4?
 

Would anyone know if the Jury's inn in Edinburgh will allow a family of 4? When I plug in 4 people it says no rooms available. But elso where they state they will allow 2 adults and 2 childrn. However, my room search says, 1 double bed and 1 single. Has anyone actually put four in a room? Thanks

Have you considered just sendng them an e-mail?

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) stayed there a couple years ago. Our room had two either full or queen beds, I cant remember exactly which size. Anyway, the hotel was fine, nothing fancy by any means, but clean and decent. The location was great though! Just through the back door there is a close that has a fantastic little tea room that we had scones and tea/cocoa/coffee each morning. The owner was an absolute delight!

Posted too soon...sorry. Also, as you go through that close you end up right on the Royal Mile.

Marbie, Seems to me this hotel has rooms that accommodate 4 people but those rooms are booked for the dates you are interested in. Can you be flexible on dates?

Thanks for the information. 2 full beds would be fine. However obxgirl is right, if you try to plug in 4 people it will not accept it. If you plug in 3 people it will. I've tried all sorts of dates and the rooms come up with one double and one single for 104 pounds. But there seems to be an option for a cot. So I was wondering if I reqested a 3 person room plus a cot, would this work. I have e-mailed the hotel 2 x with no response yet. But the only e-mail address I could find was for all Jurys hotels.

mms: Was the second bed and sofa bed then? Because the web site quotes a room for 160 pounds with a double bed and sofa, but I was hoping to get the room for 104. Thanks for the info on the tea room, sounds good.

Don't request a cot unless you are talking about a baby. A British "cot" is and American "crib" . . . . . .

Janis: Thank-you. I just decided to call the hotel to check and they confirmed a cot is for a baby. They did offer me a fold-down bed though. That's perfect! Now I know we will all fit. Thanks for the info.

Marbie, maybe you already know about the bed setup since you called, but now that I am thinking about it honestly I cannot remember if the second bed was a pull out or not. Sorry! Wish I could help more with that.

The rea room is called Mrs. Forsyths Tea Room. As you walk out the back door it is in the close (like an alley...there are a lot of those there and they are pretty cool) on the right hand side.

Are you visiting just Edinburgh or will you be able to venture out a bit? In case you will have a car, you don't need it for in town at all. We never used any transportation besides our own feet actually. We did pick up a rental car at the airport when we arrived, drove into Edinburgh and then just parked it at a garage that was only about a block from the hotel. That way when it was time we were on our way very quickly. The garage as I remember was very inexpensive. Just wanted to share that in case it pertains to you. If not, then just ignore:)

Edinburgh will be our last stop. We are flying into London, seeing the sights along the way up to Edinburgh. We did figure on dropping the car off somewhere in Edinburgh before we checked into the hotel. We may end up dropping it off at the Edinburgh airport and taxi to the hotel if it looks easier. Thanks for the tea room name. I had heard it was better to find somewhere other than the hotel for breakfast.

Mrs. Forsyth was so nice with our children too. Just a really nice lady. We had scones each morning and the kids had hot cocoa. That was after we took one look at the hotels breakfast assortment and left.
