June weather in Ireland

I'll be in Western Ireland for 2 weeks in mid-June, and am trying to figure out what to pack. Shorts, slacks, what? How warm is it during the day, and how cool at night? I know a raincoat is a must!

Kris,
It is next to impossible to tell you what the weather might be in Ireland in June and I live there. However generally temps are about anything ranging from 7 to 17 degrees celius with brillant sunshine or buckets of rain. I would suggest that you pack some slacks and/or jeans, a warm sweater or 2, a raincoat and some light t-shirts. So far this year it has been very mild and sunny but in recent days after a wonderful March and a colourful garden it has now become cold and windy and wet.

Check out www.ireland.com and the wetaher link on that page before you finally pack and if you find yourself in need of clothes having packed the wrong ones then go into Dunnes Stores - a relatively cheap supermarket and clothing chain and stock up.

Sorry I cann't help more, Enjoy you holiday

Cathy
