June or July

I've read through seemingly thousands of messages, and I gather July is very hot. For an Istanbul/Cappadocia/Blue Cruise tour (with some hiking), would you pick early June over early July? Are attractions less crowded in June? Is the Mediterranean too cold to swim in mid-June?
Thanks!

I'd far prefer June to July. I'm from Florida so the Mediterranean might be a little cold for me in June, but not for most people.

Definitely JUNE or September....NOT July---you will die of heat.....
Beginning of June and all of Sept are primo months to go...Not tons of people...

Turkey is not hot in July but this temrature change Depend on where are you from. Many people living in the europian countries can swim in JUNE temprature would be 30-35 degree celcious.

The best time for Turkey are:

Between May 20 and July 20
Between August 20 and September 20

Been to Turkey 9 times - early June without a doubt.

This year we went the 1st 2 weeks in June - and there was a noticeable increase in temperature towards the end of the second week.

Been 3 times in September - good time to go.
Once in August......NO!!!!!
June, 5 times - very warm - but busier than September.

Swimming temperature is very very enjoyble.

(However, I'm from Scotland -and was astonished to be in Sarasota last June to hear Yanks complain the pool wasn't heated. It was tropical to me!!)
