June in Italy, what time does the sun set?
I am getting married in Positano in June and am trying to finilize the time of the ceremony. I want to have some time after the wedding to take pictures before it gets dark. Does anyone know what time the sun sets in June in Positano?

I was there in June/July and the sun set at about 7:15 pm or so every night. Since the weather will be nice and sunny, especially down in the 'land of the midday sun', I suggest planning an early afternoon wedding (1:00 pm) allowing time for lunch following your ceremony and then the photos you want afterwards - with still plenty of sunshine left to spare.

Depending where you're holding the ceremony (indoors or out), keep in mind that June has been brutally hot the last few years across most of Italy. You might want to go for morning so that you and your guests don't all wilt in the sun.

There is an excellent website called sunrisesunset.com that will give you sunrise and sunset times for every day of the year in hundres of locations around the world. It will also give twilight times, which will be most helpful to you as you can determine if you want to avoid twilight, and also you and your photographer can determine the "golden hour" for photos i.e. when everything and eveyone looks best in photos), usually in the very late afternoon.

Thank you, that was very helpful!
