July Trip 2002
My husband and I are planning a trip to France,London and Edinburgh for Mid-July. We are thinking about staying at Harrington Hall in London, Beau Manoir in Paris, La Chaumiere in Normandy and Royal Terrace or Channings in Edinburgh. Does anyone have any feedback on these hotels? Any other suggestions? ($200 or less/night)

I don't know those hotels but if you put each name in the search function you can see if anyone else have ever commented on them before.

Why don't you do a house exchange in the place where you will stay the longest --this can save a lot of money?<BR>Just go on the net and type in House Exchange..
|
Home exchanges can be a great alternative to staying in hotels all the time. We had a great experience with HomeLink. Just be aware that (1) it's getting late to plan an exchange for this summer, especially in popular cities like London and Paris; and (2) many home exchangers don't want their home empty for long stretches, that's one reason they exchange.

Just back from London. Harrington Hall was one of our final four choices. We chose Thistle Charing Cross because of its location. We walked by Harrington Hall. I didn't go in but it looks very nice. The area is also nice. We chose the other because it is right on a tube station, and we walked to most sites. H. H. should be a good choice.
