Yes, there are amuse bouches. In my experience almost every restaurant in that class offers amuse bouches - sometimes with a complimentary aperitif. If the choices on the prix fixe have been expanded that's always good - the risk being if there re only 3 their may not be anything for a picky eater (esp hard for some americans who may not like lamb, some types of fish, rabbit or organ meats).

Sorry - the 85 euro prix fix lunch menu does offer only 3 choices for each courses.

And the clip from Sabrina is brilliant.

If you are such a picky eater that you cannot choose one from a, one from b and one from c, I suggest just sticking to the Hippopotamus. AND there isn't any need to wear a jacket so it will be just right!! ;o)
Or just order two courses from the a la carte menu for approximately the same price. There are all kinds of ways of eating in an expensive venue, enjoying the experience, and not spending a king's total ransom.

I think we will give it a try!! THanks!

Make your reservation as soon as possible. You'll need to supply your hotel number also, and we had our hotel confirm our reservation the day before. If you call in the morning it will be afternoon there, and not as busy a time in their day. You will NOT regret this at all.

Gretchen,
I did reserve for lunch. I actually cancelled and reserved again to request a window table. Thanks! It seems they put a hold on my credit card already.

THAT is interesting, but you really will have a wonderful time. I am SO envious. I want to go back to Paris SO badly!! The market needs to recover a bit more!!

Yea, I wonder if they will now put an additional hold on my card. I hope not.
