My Christmas will be very calm. I hope others will have a more dynamic time.

Vrolijk kerstfeest pariswat.
Or as my grandson put it on our card Vro-ho-ho-lijk. :)

PalenQ Dec 24th, 2015 12:28 PM

Cheers to you pariswat - we are having a French New Year Eve's Christmas here with my French son - Christmas Day is a non-event to him still. No buche de Noel however - apple pie and turkey burgers! We have a whole flock of gifts from France awaiting opening soon - lots of chocolates (those Belgian ones are the best) and creme de marons so a sweet Christmas for us and hopefully for you too.

What's in your buche de Noel?

flpab Dec 24th, 2015 01:10 PM

Joyexu Noël to you also.

Nikki Dec 24th, 2015 01:16 PM

May everyone have as calm or as dynamic a holiday as they want!

nytraveler Dec 24th, 2015 02:35 PM

Happy Holidays to you and yours, pariswat! Looking back and remembering fondly our October Paris GTG.

justineparis Dec 24th, 2015 03:02 PM

Merry Christmas Pariswat, to you and your family.

Off to my fathers for our traditional feast of "top many raw oysters. ( I can eat at least 2 dozen! ) then on to our main course of "too many escargots.. soaking in too much butter" .. this is all washed down with "too much wine".

I will be lucky if I only gain a few kilos.. I am aiming for 10. .lol

roseclare Dec 25th, 2015 04:56 PM

Merry Christmas from Texas!

kerouac Dec 30th, 2015 12:15 PM

And now we can add Happy New Year.

bvlenci Dec 30th, 2015 01:15 PM

Buon anno nuovo! or, Buon fine e buon principio! Good ending [of the year] and good beginning!

In Italy, the festivities are only half over now. There's still "La Santa Epifania / che tutte le feste porta via". (The holy Epiphany, which carries off all the festivities.) That's the day the three Magi come to see the Christ child, and also the day that La Befana, a good witch, flies in on her broomstick, with gifts for the good little girls and boys and a lump of coal for the naughty ones.

Bonne Année et bonne santé !
Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar ! En een goeie gezondheid.

We always wish a good health for new year. So I wish you all a very good health, the rest should follow ...

We also have a galette des rois in the first days of the year. (Don't forget that Belgium is a monarchy).

More food ....
