Joy Rockside B & B

Hello!!
We are going to Ireland in August(YAYYY!!)and am so excited!! After reading about 12perfect days reviews I would also like to stay at Joy Rockside B & B but could not find a link to it and was wondering how to book it. Help! Also any other wonderfully charming reccomendations for Ireland B&B's are most welcome. Thanks in advance! (I would also like warnings for B &B's to steer clear of if any)

Joy's Rockside House is indeed very nice. I stayed there when it first opened a couple of years ago. The hosts are especially lovely people. My room was very comfortable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

There are several Ireland only websites that are well-regarded and provide personal reviews of excellent B&Bs. To find them I suggest doing a Google search for "ireland recommended places to stay" or "ireland where to stay" or words such as that.

Have a lovely time in Ireland.

I second the compliments to Rockside House B&B in Cashel. I stayed there in 2003. My room was nice and homey and you couldn't ask for a better location right at the bottom of the Rock!

Hi chrissmack,
I hope you love staying at Joy's Rocksode as much as we did! There are the most wonderful hosts and really know how to do it right!

Besides talking the night away with Rem, they were also kind enough to let us leave are car parked in their lot as we explored the next day and when I lost my phone number to call Dero's tours for our Gap of Dunloe tour the next day in Killarney, they were more than happy to find the number for us even though we had checked out hours earlier!

If you get a chance, be sure to stop for a bite to eat in that wonderful pub within walking distance, up the street and just around the corner. I believe it was called Hannigan's pub. I know that the Joy's can direct you as they recommended it to us and it was the same place with the wonderful people that helped us find the Rockside.

I must say, the entrance to the Rock is off this teenie little side street that we could not find. I really think it's because no one said it was a tiny little side street and we kept missing the darn thing. So, if you are circling about and see Hannigan's pub, someone there can lead you!

Have a great time, I await your review!

Nother kudo for Rockside. We stayed there last June and it was excellent. Got a great idea and directions for a wonderful drive - the "Vee" road.

If you are looking for a really great and special dining experience (expensive but well worth it), Chez Hans is just up the street from Rockside. It is one of the best retaurants in Ireland.
